Know your system
Four systems. One right answer for your building.
Water in the pipe, ready to go.
The pipes stay full of water under pressure. When heat breaks a head's glass bulb, that head discharges at once. Only the heads over the fire open, which keeps water damage down.
WaterAir
- Pipe holds
- Water under pressure
- Opens when
- Heat fuses a single head
- Best for
- Offices, retail, schools, churches, apartments
- Watch for
- Needs heated space. Pipe can freeze in a Montana winter
Air in the pipe, so nothing freezes.
Pressurized air fills the piping and a dry pipe valve holds the water back. When a head opens, air escapes, the valve trips and water flows to the open heads.
WaterAir
- Pipe holds
- Pressurized air
- Opens when
- A head fuses and air pressure drops
- Best for
- Parking garages, loading docks, attics, cold warehouses
- Watch for
- Short delay while air leaves the pipe
Two signals before a drop of water.
The pipe stays dry until a separate smoke or heat detection system opens the pre-action valve. Even then, a head must still fuse before water reaches the room.
WaterAir+ Detection
- Pipe holds
- Air, supervised for leaks
- Opens when
- Detection confirms, then a head fuses
- Best for
- Data and server rooms, archives, museums
- Watch for
- Needs a detection system and more upkeep
Every head opens at once.
Deluge heads have no bulbs. When detection triggers the deluge valve, water flows from every head together and floods the hazard before fire can spread.
WaterOpen heads+ Detection
- Pipe holds
- Nothing. Heads are open
- Opens when
- Detection trips the deluge valve
- Best for
- Fuel and chemical storage, transformers, hangars
- Watch for
- Large water demand, so the supply must be sized for it
Why us
Small enough that the founders show up.
On site, not just on paper
Founder Tony LaMere brings 15+ years in fire protection to plans, scheduling and design, and still gets into the field. Co-founder Craig Rogers brings 20+ years and runs field safety and compliance.
Designed in 3D first
We use 3D design, REVIT, BIM and GPS 2D and 3D machine control, so the layout works before pipe is cut.
Safety comes first
Every job gets the right support and resources, and a safe, comfortable site for everyone involved.
Plans to final inspection
You get the same attention from the moment we see the plans until the last inspection is signed off.

Tony and Craig make it a point to get out there on site to interact with the staff and customer to ensure the job gets done.
