Fire sprinkler inspection, testing & maintenance

Regular maintenance is what keeps a fire sprinkler system working. We inspect, test, service and repair every type of fire suppression system.

A system that sits idle for years still has to work in seconds.

Sprinkler systems can go years without operating. In that time valves get closed and forgotten, gauges drift, dry pipe systems collect condensation and heads get painted over or blocked by storage. Our inspection and testing services make sure your sprinklers are functioning properly and meeting regulatory standards, so the problem is found by us and not by a fire.

Who we inspect for

We're trained to inspect, service and repair all types of fire suppression systems, including systems installed by someone else. That covers wet and dry pipe sprinklers, pre-action and deluge systems, special hazard and kitchen hood systems, backflow preventers and fire pumps.

The schedule

NFPA 25 sets how often each part of a water-based fire protection system must be inspected, tested and maintained. Some items, like control valves and gauges, are checked frequently. Others, such as main drain tests and full system inspections, happen annually, and some components are tested on longer multi-year cycles. Your insurer and the local fire marshal can add their own requirements. We build a schedule around all of it and keep track of what's due.

When we find a problem

Every deficiency goes in the report with what it means and how to fix it. Most repairs, such as replacing heads, gauges or valve parts, we can handle on the next visit or the same day. Anything that impairs the system gets flagged immediately so you can take the right steps.

Records you can hand over

Inspection reports document what was checked, what passed and what needs attention, which is what your insurer and the fire marshal will ask for.

What's included

  • Visual inspection of heads, piping, hangers and valves
  • Control valve, gauge and alarm device checks
  • Main drain and flow tests on schedule
  • Dry pipe valve and pre-action trip testing
  • Backflow and fire pump testing
  • Written report of deficiencies and recommended repairs

What it costs

Inspection pricing depends on the number and type of systems and how often they're due. Bundle inspections across systems, or with extinguisher service, and save.

Questions

Inspection questions

Can you inspect a system another company installed?
Yes. We inspect, service and repair all types of fire suppression systems, whoever installed them.
Does the building have to close during an inspection?
Usually not. Some tests sound alarms or briefly take a system out of service, so we schedule those with you in advance.
What happens if the inspection finds a problem?
You get a written report of each deficiency and a quote to fix it. Anything that impairs the system is flagged on the spot.
